Chinese delegation meets Prakash Javadekar to boost investment

New Delhi, Aug 28 (ANI): In a bid to build up trade relations with India, a Chinese business delegation met Information and Broadcasting and Environment, Forests Minister, Prakash Javadekar, in New Delhi. Javadekar said the discussions with the Chinese delegation were fruitful and the members would meet different Indian ministries to initiate business talks. The minister added that the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was working for overall development of the country and everyone were reaping benefits from the good administration of the newly-formed government. IB Ministry suspends Censor Board CEO

New Delhi, Aug 20 (ANI): The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has suspended the chief executive officer of the Central Board of Film Certification, Rakesh Kumar, who was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly accepting a bribe. Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Prakash Javadekar, said corruption will not be tolerated, and hence, Kumar has been suspended. According to sources, the CEO of the Childrens Film Society of India (CFSI), Sharavan Kumar, will assume additional charge as CEO of CBFC. Kumar was arrested in Mumbai on Tuesday for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs.70,000 for clearing a regional movie. Aug 20, 2014

New Delhi, Aug 20 (ANI): World-renowned yoga guru and founder of the Iyengar School of Yoga, BKS Iyengar passed away early Wednesday morning following illness. 96-year-old Iyengar had been ailing since some time and was admitted to a private hospital. Lawyers back Chief Justices remark over judges appointment bill

New Delhi, Aug 16 (ANI): The Indian lawyers have approved of the statement given by the Chief Justice over judges’ appointment bill which has been recently passed unanimously in both houses of the Parliament. Chief Justice of India, R.M Lodha, said he hoped that judiciary, executive and Parliament are allowed to work independently and without any interference. He was speaking at a function organized by the Supreme Court Bar Association. One of the lawyers, Kamini Jaiswal expressed her agreement over the remarks made by the Chief Justice adding, he has made a valid and just statement.
