SC refuses to restrain media on CBI chief's request

New Delhi, Sep 04 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Thursday turned down CBI Director Ranjit Sinha's plea to restrain media from reporting on the 2G spectrum allocation case. The apex court said that it will take up application filed by advocate Prashant Bhushan to keep Sinha away from 2G case on September 8. Sinha is accused of holding regular meetings with officials of the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group to influence the CBI's investigation. Sep 4, 2014

Mumbai, Aug 29 (ANI): Leading business tycoon Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries along with a clutch of sports and Bollywood stars came together to launch a football championship that aims to popularise the game in the cricket-mad country. The tournament is being hailed as 'birth of a foot balling nation'. A host of celebrities from Bollywood and cricket world graced the occasion in Mumbai. Scheduled to start from October 12, Indian Super League (ISL) was officially launched by Ambani's wife Nita Ambani in the presence of Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and other co-owners of the eight franchises from across the country. Indian Super League would also feature Bollywood celebrities like Salman Khan, John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan, Varun Dhawan besides the sport's icon Sachin Tendulkar who are keenly associated with the sport.
