Spotted on the occasion was actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha, singers Kailash Kher, Udit Narayan & Sunidhi Chahuan amongst others who came up to cheer the duo. Apex court pulls up N. Srinivasan for attending meet despite ban

New Delhi, Feb 23 (ANI): India's top court on Monday slammed Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) chief N. Srinivasan for participating in a cricket board meeting on February 8. Last year, the Supreme Court had asked Srinivasan to step down to ensure a probe into illegal betting during 2013 Indian Premier League (IPL), in which his son-in-law has been indicted. The involvement of Gurunath Meiyappan, who is married to the daughter of the BCCI president, in the illegal betting case was proved by a court-appointed committee. Nitish to take oath along with his cabinet today, Politicos react

Patna, Feb 22 (ANI): Politicos reacted on Sunday as JD (U) leader Nitish Kumar's is scheduled to taker oath as Bihar Chief Minister. Reports suggest that along with Nitish, 10 ministers will also be take oath as cabinet ministers. JD (U) leaders Sanjay Singh and Basistha Narayan Singh said that the decision on the cabinet will be taken by Nitish and the party will abide by his decision. RJD leader Abdul Bari Siddiqui said that RJD has not lend support to JD (U) for seats in the cabinet. Nitish will be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Bihar at the Raj Bhawan. JD (U) suspends seven pro-Manjhi ministers

New Delhi, Feb 17 (ANI): JD (U) on Tuesday suspended seven pro-Manjhi ministers from party leadership. Party Chief Sharad Yadav said that when he was told about the ministers he took immediate action on problems faced due to the leaders. Yadav added that he assessed the situation and took immediate action by moving court. He also said that Jitan Ram Manjhi does not have majority in the house and added that the Governor should have been quick in taking the decision over Bihar politics. Meanwhile, President of JD (U) unit in Bihar, Basistha Narayan Singh said that the ministers did not resign from their post even after being directed to do so by the party, which is why they were suspended.
