New Delhi, June 19 (ANI): Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha was released from jail in Jharkhand on Thursday after he agreed to pay bail on Wednesday. Sinha, was arrested a fortnight ago for inciting a group of BJP workers to tie up an Electricity Board official to protest against a lengthy power crisis in his former constituency of Hazaribagh. He had agreed to apply for bail after senior leader LK Advani visited him in jail to persuade him to file a bail plea. Advani met Yashwant Sinha on Tuesday and asked him to continue his movement against power cuts in Hazaribagh after getting released from jail. Hazaribagh, June 18 (ANI): Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha on Wednesday was granted bail by a Jharkhand court, days after he was arrested for leading a demonstration against the poor power conditions in the state. He was arrested on June 2 and was sent to judicial custody after he refused to furnish a bail bond. Sinha applied for bail, a day after senior BJP leader LK Advani on Tuesday met him in Hazaribagh jail. After meeting Sinha, Advani had felt the latter should play a bigger role in the state. On Monday Sinha's judicial custody was extended till June 28. He was arrested on June 02 for leading a demonstration at the Electricity Board office in Hazaribagh town of Jharkhand and was sent to 14 days' judicial custody next day after he refused to furnish the bail bond.
