Mumbai, Dec 06 (ANI): Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis along with his cabinet ministers paid tribute to Bharat Ratna Babasahib Dr BR Ambedkar at Shivaji Park in Mumbai. Fadnavis offered flowers and lit candles in front of Ambedkar's statue on his 'Mahaparinirvana Diwas'. He also acknowledged Dr Ambedkar's work to uplift the backward and downtrodden in independent India. Maharashtra Cabinet Expansion: Ministers take oath

Mumbai, Dec 5 (ANI): After getting back together with its age old ally Shiv Sena, Devendra Fadnavis led BJP government in Maharashtra on Friday carried out its first cabinet expansion. The Shiv Sena joined the Maharashtra government with 10 of its nominees, including five of cabinet rank while an equal of 10 nominees were included from the BJP. The ministers took oath in the presence of state Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Maharashtra governor C Vidyasagar Rao at the Vidhan Bhawan in Mumbai. Mumbai, Dec 4 (ANI): After 70 days of bitter squabbling BJP and Shiv Sena once again came together and announced their alliance in Maharashtra. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday in a joint press conference announced that Shiv Sena will join his ministry. Fadnavis added that 12 ministers from Shiv Sena would take oath, five of cabinet rank and seven ministers of state. According to the media reports, the ministers will be sworn in on Friday. Anil Kumar Sinha named new CBI director

New Delhi, Dec 3 (ANI): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has cleared the name of Anil Kumar Sinha as the next director of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Sinha, a 1979 batch IPS officer of Bihar cadre, will succeed Ranjit Sinha, who retired on Tuesday. A high-powered committee comprising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, leader of the Congress in Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge and Chief Justice of India H L Dattu chose Sinha from a panel of aspirants to be the next CBI chief. Sinha has been working in the CBI since May 15, 2013 as special director and is supervising investigations into several high profile cases.
