AIADMK supporters perform special prayers for Jayalalithaa's release

Chennai, Oct 14 (ANI): All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) cadres on Tuesday performed a special prayer, "Anga Prathikshanam" in the Vadapalani Murugan temple premises, for the release of party chief and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. About 51 cadres of AIADMK woman's wing headed by South Chennai District Secretary, Saraswathi Rangaswamy, along with hundreds of other cadres were present for the prayer offered for the release of their chief Jayalalithaa. The AIADMK Minister Valarmathi, MLA Kalairajan and Mayor Saidai Duraiswami were also seen in attendance in the temple. Oct 14, 2014

DA case: Karnataka HC rejects Jayalalithaa's bail plea

Chennai, Oct 07 (ANI): The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday rejected former Tamil Nadu chief minister J. Jayalalithaa bail plea in connection with an 18-year-old disproportionate assets case, days after a trial court had sent her to four-years in prison. Earlier it was reported by various media that she had been given conditional bail based on the comment by the public prosecutor that he would not be opposed to it. In the morning, the Karnataka High Court had rejected advocate Ram Jethmalani's request for an early hearing of Jayalalithaa's bail plea, saying the hearing would take place according to the number allotted to the case. Bangalore/ Chennai, Oct 07 (ANI): As Karnataka High Court is all set to give pronouncement in bail plea by Jayalalithaa, the court witnessed high security in order to avoid any untoward incident after the pronouncement.
