Prez Pranab Mukherjee presents Gandhi Peace Prize to Chandi Prasad Bhatt

New Delhi, July 15 (ANI): President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday felicitated renowned environmentalist Chandi Prasad Bhatt with 2013 Gandhi Peace Prize at a glittering ceremony in Darbar Hall at Rashtrapati Bhawan. The pioneer of the Chipko movement has also been awarded with the Ramon Magsaysay Award for community leadership in 1982 followed by the Padma Bhushan in 2005. The Gandhi Peace Prize was instituted in 1995 on the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. This annual award is given to individuals and institutions for their contributions towards social, economic and political transformation through non-violence and other Gandhian methods. Jul 15, 2014

Munde tragically passed away on Tuesday morning after meeting with an accident in Delhi's Prithviraj-Tughlak Road at around 6:30 am. New Delhi, June 3 (ANI): Gopinath Munde's mortal remains have been placed at BJP headquarters where party leaders are paying their last respect. Nitin Gadkari received Munde's family at the IGI airport in Delhi. Senior leaders have already reached the headquarters to pay their tributes to Munde. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to pay his tribute to Munde this afternoon. Munde's body will be airlifted to Mumbai and taken to his Worli residence, later today. The last rites of the late Rural Development Minister will be performed on Wednesday. Subhash Ghai launches Kaanchis music

Mumbai, March 19 (ANI): The showman of Bollywood, Subhash Ghai, launched music of his much awaited upcoming film, 'Kaanchi - The Unbreakable', a musical drama that revolves around the story of a woman who fights against injustice in the country, in India’a showbiz capital, Mumbai. On the occasion Subhash Ghai, said the making of the music of the film was a big challenge and he is happy with the efforts and contributions of the team towards the film. The main leads of Ghai's film were also seen posing for the shutterbugs at the music launch. The music composer Ismail Darbar and musical duo Salim-Suleman, along with lyrist Irshad Kamil were also present during the launch. With this movie the director has launched a new face - Mishti - who plays the protagonist, a bold village girl who courageously takes up the fight against power and injustice. In the film, the protagonist 'Kaanchi' falls in love with a village boy, played by Kartik Aaryan.
