BJP supporters pour in to streets to welcome Modi in Srinagar

Srinagar, Oct 23 (ANI): Workers and supporters of the BJP took to streets in Srinagar on Thursday to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kashmir as he will be celebrating Diwali with flood-hit victims of the region. To welcome him, party workers celebrated in Srinagar's streets, carrying banners and chanting his name. They claimed that the BJP was whole-heartedly working in rehabilitation and relief measures in the state and hoped that the central government would provide everything that would help the state to stand on its feet again. New Delhi, Oct 20 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday met the Foreign Affairs Minister of Nepal Mr Mahendra Bahadur Pandey to hold bilateral talks. Pandey had also met External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj earlier in the day. Speaking on the issue of Pakistan supporters protesting against India in London, MEA Spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin said that the issue was raised with the colleagues in UK who assured that such matters should be solved by Pakistan and India itself. Jayalalithaa lands in Chennai amid massive cheers

Chennai, Oct 18 (ANI): Celebrations began in Chennai on Saturday evening as former Tamil Nadu chief minister and AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa arrived here after spending 22 days in Bangalore Central Jail following her conviction in the disproportionate assets case. Scores of AIADMK workers and supporters had gathered outside the Chennai Airport to have a glimpse of their favourite leader, who arrived here from Bangalore in a chartered plane. Jayalalithaa, who was driven to her residence amidst tight security arrangements, waved towards the supporters. Many of Jayalalithaa's supporters broke out in impromptu celebrations and cheered as her convoy passed them.
