New Delhi, Dec 21 (ANI): A group of journalists from Nepal, who are on a weeklong tour to India, visited and paid obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) in Amritsar. The journalists represent various prestigious and leading newspapers of Nepal like the Kathmandu Post, Aarthik Abhiyan National Daily, Naya Prakashan and Rising Nepal. The journalists visited Delhi, Punjab and Trivandrum (Kerala) to explore the developments taking place in India in a tour organized by the Embassy of India in Kathmandu. Dec 21, 2013

Jati Umra, Amritsar, Dec 16 (ANI): Shahbaz Sharif, chief of Pakistan's Punjab, called for peaceful solution of issues between India and Pakistan during a visit to his ancestral village and Golden Temple in India's Punjab. Addressing the villagers, Sharif called for fostering the bond of friendship and love between the neighbours. After visiting his village, Sharif offered prayers at the Golden Temple. The Mahabodhi Temple complex, the holiest Buddhist of shrines is visited by Buddhist pilgrims from Sri Lanka, China, Japan and the entire of south east Asia. The Mahabodhi temple is a sacred place for Buddhists around the world as it is the place where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment.
