AAP's Ashutosh says he's not surprised about extortion-tainted Shah heading new BJP team

New Delhi, Aug 16 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party leader Ashutosh today criticized Amit Shah and his new team, saying that the BJP president himself has charges of extortion against him. Earlier, Shah announced the names of his new team, which consists of eleven vice-presidents and eight general secretaries. The new BJP vice-presidents are Bandaru Dattatreya, B.S. Yeddyurappa, Satpal Malik, M.A. Naqvi, P. Ruppala, Prabhat Jha, Raghuvar Das, Kiran Maheswari, Renu Devi and Dinesh Sharma. The general secretaries are J.P. Nadda, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Muralidhar Rao, Ram Madhav, Saroj Pandey, Bhupendra Yadav, R S Kateria and Ram Lal. Anurag Thakur will continue to be Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) chief and the BJP Mahila Morcha chief will be Vijaya Rahatkar. Abdul Rashid Ansari will be the BJP's Minority Morcha chief. New Delhi, Aug 14 (ANI): A Delhi court on Thursday awarded life imprisonment to Sher Singh Rana in 2001 bandit-turned-politician Phoolan Devi murder case. While delivering its judgement, the court also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on Rana. Public Prosecutor Manisha Sharma said that they demanded death sentence from the court as it was pre planned murder, but the court refrained from the same. On August 08, the court convicted Rana, who gunned down Phoolan Devi, allegedly avenging the 1981 Behmai massacre in which she killed 17 people of the Thakur community. Aug 14, 2014

A court on Tuesday reserved its order on the quantum of sentence against main accused Sher Singh Rana, convicted for killing bandit-turned-politician Phoolan Devi.
