BSE closes points 37.69 down on June 16

New Delhi, June 16 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 37.69 points down to stand at 25,190.48. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 8.55 points down to stand at 7,533.55. MCX and Dish TV India were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 5.49% and 5.37% along with Strides Arcolab Ltd. and Reliance Capital Ltd with an increase of 4.97% and 4.49% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include JPINFRATEC and Suzlon Energy with a decrease of 5.65 % and 4.90% along with Federal Bank and Oriental Bank with a decrease of 3.34 % and 3.25 % at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is down 163.24 points at 15,031.83 while the banking sector is down 89.28 points at 17,220.59 and the realty sector is up 34.00 points at 2,028.75. No 100-day agenda for ministers by PM: Kalraj Mishra

Prithivraj Chavan flags off Mumbai Metro

Mumbai, June 8 (ANI): Maharashtra CM Prithivraj Chavan on Sunday inaugurated the much-awaited Mumbai Metro that promises to cater to lakhs of commuters per day on the 11-km Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar route. Reliance Industries head Anil Ambani and his wife Tina Ambani were amongst the early riders. Mumbai Metro One Pvt Ltd (MMOPL) is a joint venture between Reliance Infrastructure, French firm Veolia Transport and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). While Anil Ambani-owned Reliance Infra, which is the execution agency, owns a 69 per cent stake in the project, the state-run MMRDA and Veolia hold 26 per cent and 5 per cent stake respectively. New Delhi, June 2 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 467.51 points up to stand at 24,684.85. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 132.55 points up to stand at 7,362.50. Syndicate Bank and Reliance Capital Ltd. were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 12.13% and 11.19% along with Central Bank and Max India with an increase of 11.05% and 11.02% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include Gitanjali Gems and Aurobindo Pharma Ltd. with a decrease of 6.13% and 4.16% along with Pipavav Defence and TV18 Broadcast with a decrease of 3.40% and 3.13% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is up 207.09 points at 14,700.86 while the banking sector is up 556.58 points at 17,510.44 and the realty sector is up 27.02 points at 1,921.36.
