mritsar, Feb 19 (ANI): The governor of Pakistan's Punjab, Mohammad Sarwar, who is on a visit to India's Punjab, made a move to strengthen bilateral ties during his tour, while mentioning that Muslims are most affected due to terrorism. Sarwar visited the holiest shrine of Sikhs, the Golden Temple, in Amritsar. While talking to mediapersons, he said it is high time for India and Pakistan to stop fighting and they must work together for the welfare of both the nations. In this annual festival, women from all walks of life, gather at the temple and perform a ritual of offering rice cooked in earthen pots to seek the blessings of the goddess. Gaya, Feb 7 (ANI): On the second day of the cultural festival in temple town Bodh Gaya in Gaya district in India's eastern state Bihar, artists from India and other countries mesmerized the audience with their spellbound performances. The cultural festival, called Bodh Mahotsav is an annual international event that is organised jointly by the Tourism Department and provincial government of Bihar and district administration, Gaya. The three-day event that kick started on Wednesday has artists and troupes not only from India but also from countries like Thailand, Vietnam and Bhutan participating at the land of Buddha's enlightenment. People dressed in bright and colourful attire enthralled the audience with their dance and musical performances at the Kalachakra grounds where Bodh Mahotsav 2014 is being held. The province of Bihar has been celebrating Bodh Mahotsav on a large scale since 1998 and the spectacular cultural show is attended by people from India and abroad as well. New Delhi/Amritsar: British Foreign Secretary William Hague's statement that London did advise New Delhi on planning the deadly attack against separatists in the Golden Temple at Amritsar in 1984, sparked protests by Sikh bodies in India on Wednesday.SAD leader Harsimrat Kaur Badal said that it is an act of treason by then Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. Denouncing the attack, the head priest of the Golden Temple, Gurbachan Singh, demanded an apology by the UK government.
