Pune, Jan 08 (ANI): Taking the ambitious Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Mission) forward, Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar cleans up his housing complex along with fellow residents in Pune on Thursday. Javadekar said the campaign would help in disciplined nation building. A campaign called 'plastic waste-free India' will be launched in Shirur area of Pune district on Friday. This drew reactions on Wednesday from political and anti-terrorist organizations. NCP leader Majid Memon said that this is a matter which should be treated or released under law. BJP leader GVL Narasimha Rao said that political parties should not use terror to hold votes. Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that it was a matter to be dealt between law and government. SAD clarifies Punjab CM's demand on terrorists' release, commemoration of death anniversary of Indir

New Delhi, Jan 07 (ANI): President of SAD unit in Delhi and President of DSGMC, Manjit Singh GK on Wednesday clarified the demand made by Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal regarding the release of 13 terrorists jailed in connection with Khalistan activities. Manjit Singh GK said that the terrorists have completed even more than 10 years beyond their jail sentence which is why they have all the right to be released. He added that it was a case of human rights and the legal procedure shall be followed. He further clarified the misconception regarding the commemoration of death anniversary of Indira Gandhi's assassins by Akal Takht saying that it was a custom at gurudwara to honour anybody who keeps a 'path'. PM Narendra Modi launches National Programme for LED bulb distribution

New Delhi, Jan 05 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday described the LED bulb as a 'Prakash Path - way to light' as he launched a scheme for LED bulb distribution under the domestic efficient lighting programme in Delhi and a national programme for LED-based home and street lighting. Prime Minister Modi also symbolically replaced one bulb in South Block, with an LED bulb. Replacement of all bulbs in South Block with LED bulbs will enable savings of 7,000 units of energy each month.
