New Delhi/ Kolkata, Jan 13 (ANI): Political leaders on Tuesday condemned TMC leader Swapan Debnath after he said that left party women leaders tear their own blouses and claim assault. While addressing Trinamool supporters, Debnath said that the women activists of Left party often stoop to such a low level that they tear their own blouses and claim being assaulted. Debnath added that when these activists quarrel with their husbands and are attacked, they don't blame them, but instead frame Trinamool members. CPI (M) and BJP leaders condemned the statement and said that this comes under the shelter of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and also demanded action against the leader. Jan 13, 2015

New Delhi, Jan 12 (ANI): AAP candidate Nand Kishor Beniwal won a seat in the Delhi Cantonment elections as counting of votes in underway. Supporters were seen throwing currency notes in the air as celebrations for the candidate’s victory were going on. Meanwhile, Beniwal said that he was happy at his victory and the party is expecting more seats for itself. East Midnapore, Jan 04 (ANI): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's nephew Abhishek Banerjee was slapped by a man while addressing youth TMC rally in West Bengal's East Midnapore district on Sunday. An unidentified man got on the stage during Abhishek's rally and slapped him. The attacker was quickly taken away by the security officials after the incident and was beaten harshly by the TMC supporters.
