Reactions come in as Sartaj Aziz says India should initiate Indo-Pak dialogue

New Delhi, Sep 26 (ANI): Reactions came in as Pakistan National Security and Foreign Affairs Adviser Sartaj Aziz said that India should initiate dialogue with Pakistan after talks between the two nuclear-armed neighbours were called-off last month. India had cancelled foreign secretary-level talks with Pakistan, which was scheduled to take place in Islamabad last month, as Pakistan envoy met Kashmiri separatists ahead of the meeting, giving a jolt to renewed diplomatic efforts. Aziz said that Pakistan would resume talks if India takes the initiative. BJP's Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that it should be Pakistan who should take the first initiative. Congress leader Manish Tewari blamed NDA government's bad policy towards Pakistan the reason behind such statements. Meanwhile, Security Expert Alok Bansal said that if Indian ministers would have done something like meeting separatist leaders of Pakistan, it would have been disliked by Pakistan too. Sep 26, 2014

Family cremates Indian fisherman who died in Pakistani jail

Diu, Sept 20 (ANI): The last rites of an Indian fisherman, who died in Pakistani jail, were performed at his village in Diu. The family came to know about the tragedy after receiving a letter from Pakistani government that however, didn't mention the cause of death. Sister of deceased fisherman Balubhai, urged the government to provide financial help to their family. The family also urged the Pakistani government to release his two brothers, who were also arrested along with him. Nuclear-armed neighbours share a vast un-demarcated coastal border and officials say fishermen on both sides ignore rules in search of fish, frequently stray into other country and end up spending years in their jails.
