Commonwealth countries agree to support less developed nations

Colombo, Nov 18 (ANI): As the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) came to a close, member countries agreed in unison to support small and less developed nations in the pool, which forms one-fifth of global trade. The summit took place in the island nation under the shadow of allegations of abuse by the Sri Lankan government four years after a civil war against Tamil separatists ended. Chennai, Nov 13 (ANI): The Tamil Nadu Assembly in its special meeting adopted a resolution against the Centre's decision to participate in the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting at Colombo. The resolution reiterated that India should totally boycott the Commonwealth Heads Summit which is to be held from November 13 to 17 and also the External Affairs Ministers' meeting.
