Supporter of PM suffers due to cease of pension by UP government

Varanasi, Aug 10 (ANI): A supporter of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Virbhadra Nishad complained of non-payment of pension to old people in Uttar Pradesh. The government of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav in Uttar Pradesh has stopped provision of pension to the old people after BJP won in the state. Virbhadra Nishad, a boatman, was one of the people who proposed Modi's nomination from temple town Varanasi for the general elections. He was also a constant supporter of the nationalist leader during the elections. However, Nishad complained that the state government of Samajwadi Party has ceased to pay due amount of pension despite him suffering from critical health conditions. Meanwhile, BJP spokesperson in Uttar Pradesh, Ashok Pandey, said his party will definitely provide the required help to Nishad. Aug 10, 2014

Uttarakhand employs more women in tea garden

Nainital, Aug 03 (ANI): In a bid to empower women and make them independent, a state-run tea garden of Uttarakhand decided to raise women workforce in its tea gardens. The tea garden of Uttarakhand government in Ghorakhal region of Nainital district, employes mostly women, who do most of the work in the gardens, from plucking tea leaves, cutting branches to processing them in factory. A female worker, Jeewanti Devi, said salaries are given on time and they do not face any problems. There are 180 women employed in the government run plantations in the district. Nepalese Commerce Minister meets Indian counterpart over trade and other issues

New Delhi, Aug 01 (ANI): Nepalese Commerce Minister Sunil Bahadur Thapa met his Indian counterpart Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the Himalayan country. Thapa, who is on a four-day visit to India, has discussed issues of bilateral concerns, including trade, investment and petroleum supplies, during his meeting with Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and other leaders. Modi would go to Kathmandu on August 03 for a two-day visit. Both the countries are likely to sign some agreements to further boost trade and investment in areas like power, infrastructure and services sector. Kanpur murder case: Businessman confesses to killing wife

Kanpur, July 30 (ANI): In a new twist in the Kanpur murder case, the husband has confessed to have plotted the murder of his wife with the help of his driver. Piyush Shyam Dashani was arrested on Tuesday after his wife Jyoti Dashani was found murdered on Monday. She was abducted after some bikers allegedly intercepted the car the couple was traveling in on Sunday night. They took her away in the car. She was later found stabbed to death in the same vehicle. Police said CCTV camera footage led them to suspect the hand of Piyush in the murder. He was seen wearing two different outfits on the night of the murder. Jul 30, 2014
