Censor Board should be loyal to govt not to political parties, will soon be appointing new board mem

New Delhi, Jan 18 (ANI): Dismissing allegations against the government of interference and corruption by former Censor Board members, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Rathore said that the former should be loyal to the Government of India and not to any particular political party. He said that the government had faith in the board and that is why it gave them time to work and extension of term as well. Rathore said that the government wants to stay on a positive note but now the aim is to form a new, better CBFC in a few days. Earlier in the day, I and B Minister Arun Jaitley dismissed the allegations calling the former Censor Board members 'rebels without a cause' in one of his articles. He further accused the Congress of politicising the censor board. Jan 18, 2015
