Politicians condemn communal violence over loudspeaker issue in Moradabad

New Delhi, July 26 (ANI): Politicians on Saturday condemned the recent communal clashes of Uttar Pradesh, which erupted after villagers protested over the installation of loudspeakers at a temple. At the epicenter of the trouble in Moradabad district is a temple in Muslim-dominated Akbarpur village belonging to the Jatav community. Congress leader, Manish Tewari, urged the central and state government of Uttar Pradesh to take adequate steps to ensure peace. BJP Vice-President, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, called the central government to investigate into the communal tensions in the area. JD (U) chief, Sharad Yadav, denounced the clashed over loudspeaker. Condemning Swaroopanand's remark, the delegation said they monitored all the Hindu rituals being performed in the Sai Baba's temple very closely and did not find anything anti-ancient Hindu tradition. Taking a dig at Swami Swaroopanand, Swami Acharya Pramod Krishnam, one of the senior Hindu priests said the traditional rituals and routine followed by the temple do not violate norms of ancient Hindu customs.
