New Delhi, Sept 12 (ANI): India's decision to extend 144 million US dollars credit to Liberia will further enhance engagements between the two nations. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh stated this in New Delhi after signing an agreement with the visiting Liberian President, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. Sirleaf flew to India on September 09 at the invitation of her Indian counterpart Pranab Mukherjee. India has extended this credit to Liberia for development of power transmission and distribution projects to reduce the gap of power shortage in Liberia. Further he said the two sides have decided to enhance cooperation in a number of areas, including agricultural research, healthcare, small and medium enterprises, science and technology, education and skill development.
