Indian Air Force celebrates its 82nd anniversary

Ghaziabad, Oct 8 (ANI): Indian Air Force is today celebrating its 82th anniversary. Chief of Indian Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha said that the IAF's journey of 82 years has witnessed many historic moments and it has emerged as one of the most formidable and respected air forces of the world. To mark the occasion there will be air displaying of various aircrafts as a part of the Air Force Day Parade cum Investiture Ceremony at Air Force Station here. Retired Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, is also seen in attendance. He is the first sportsperson to be made the honourary Group Captain in the Indian Air Force. Oct 8, 2014

New Delhi, Oct 07 (ANI): Reacting on the ongoing ceasefire violation by Pakistan which is the 17th time this month, Security Experts on Tuesday said that Pakistan Army does not listen to the government and that Indian government needs to take pro-active steps to counter the attempts of Pakistan. Pakistan Rangers targeted 40 border out posts and 25 border hamlets by resorting to heavy mortar shelling and firing along the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir, leaving many people injured. Security Expert Alok Bansal said that this only shows desperation of Pak Army as they want to infiltrate into Indian borders as soon as possible before snowfall. Praful Bakshi said that Pakistan Army will not stop unless India causes a heavy loss to them. He said that India needs to take pro-active steps in order to stop the infiltration. Oct 7, 2014

New Delhi/ Bhopal, Oct 06 (ANI): Security Experts on Monday condemned ceasefire violations by Pakistan wherein at least four are killed and many injured. Alok Bansal said that Pakistan's action reflects desperation as they will be unable to infiltrate once winters comes. He said that Indian army is giving a befitting reply to Pakistan and that is the only way to counter the same. Meanwhile, Praful Bakshi said that this happens every year in desperation and this is to divert minds of people and to make them understand the importance of Pak Army. Sachin Tendulkar launches anthem and jersey of his Indian Super League team

Kochi, Sep 30 (ANI): Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar launched the anthem and jersey of his co-owned soccer team, Kerala Blasters, for upcoming India Super League (ISL), which is slated to kick-off next month. While unveiling his team jersey in Kerala, Tendulkar said yellow represents faith, adding that the league will bring sporting culture in India, especially at the grass root level. A total of 49 foreign players were drafted during the session for the league, which is slated to run from October 12 to December 20. Seven players have been directly recruited by the teams.
