Muthoot Finance and Bharat Forge were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 10.74% and 6.12% along with JPPOWER and Motherson Sumi Systems with an increase of 5.83% and 4.61% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include Mangalore Refinery and MCX with a decrease of 4.20% and 3.95% along with UPL and RAMCO CEMENT with a decrease of 3.83% and 3.27% at the close of the markets. Bank unions hold 2-day nation-wide strike

New Delhi/ Bhopal, Feb 10 (ANI): Banking services across the country are paralyzed as staff of both public and private sector banks are taking part in the two-day nationwide strike from Monday called by the All India Bank Employees' Association under the aegis of the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) seeking immediate revision of their salaries. Banks including country's largest lender State Bank of India have informed customers in advance about the likely inconvenience they could face due to the strike. India, Fiji sign DTAA to avoid double taxation

New Delhi, Jan 31 (ANI): India and Fiji signed a pact to avoid double taxation and to facilitate mutual economic co-operation between the two countries. The Government of India signed the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA) with the Government Fiji that also provides for exchange of banking information for tax administration purpose. The pact was signed in New Delhi by India’s Finance Minister P Chidambaram and the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum on behalf of the Government of Fiji.
