PM Modi meets Sachin Tendulkar, applauds his interest in adopting a village

New Delhi, Oct 17 (ANI): India's cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss ways to carry forward the initiative of nationwide cleanliness mission, 'Swachch Bharat Abhiyan'. Tendulkar also expressed his intention to adopt a village under 'Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana'. Modi had launched Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY), under which each member of the parliament would adopt three villages and ensure their physical and infrastructural development by 2019. PM Modi tweeted saying, "Met at sachin rt. He talked about his contribution towards Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan. His efforts towards a Clean India are phenomenal! Bansal said that there is a menace that needs to be tackled carefully and in very deliberate manner. Further, he said that it is unfortunate that China has objected to such a thing and that the construction of road is for betterment of livelihood of border people. Mumbai, Oct 15 (ANI): The polling booth became a visual treat for the voters on Wednesday as Bollywood Actor Abhishek Bachchan, his mother Jaya, the glamourous Rekha and also Bhagyashree turned up to cast their vote in Mumbai. Abhishek Bachchan appealed the people to vote in large numbers. Veteran actress Jaya Bacchan also accompanied her son, Abhishek, to cast her franchise. The people outside polling station also witnessed the glamourous Rekha as she showed her inked finger to the camera. Actress Bhagyashree also casted her vote and wished for a responsible government to come to power.Meanwhile, Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar also casted his ballot in Mumbai. Sachin Tendulkar unveils logo of 'Legends of Rupganj' in Bangaldesh

Dhaka, Oct 15 (ANI): India's cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar unveiled the logo of Dhaka Premier League cricket club 'Legends of Rupganj' in Bangaldesh. The batting maestro, who arrived on a one-day visit to the country, unveilied the logo at a hotel in Dhaka. After unveiling the logo, Tendulkar thanked the people of Bangladesh for the love and respect. The last time Tendulkar was in Dhaka, he scored his 100th international century during the Asia Cup in 2012. Upon arriving in Dhaka on Tuesday morning, he was taken by a helicopter to Rupganj, a sub-district of Narayanganj.
