Music video launched on Modi's Clean India vision

Mumbai, Oct 29 (ANI): Singer and Producer Ravindra Singh along with singer Mohit Chauhan launched a music video supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Clean India mission and his vision of development, in showbiz capital Mumbai. Modi had launched the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' or Clean India Mission, on birth anniversary of freedom fighter Mahatma Gandhi to modernise sanitation within five years. The video titled 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' (One India, glorious India) has been released to create awareness among the masses on cleanliness. Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini and top sporting stars like Sachin Tendulkar, Mahindra Singh Dhoni, Saina Nehwal, Mary Kom and Sushil Kumar feature in the video. The video is directed by film and television actor, Rajeev Khandelwal, and lyrics are given by Rani Malik. Meanwhile, Mohit Chauhan praised Ravindra Singh and his team for his efforts in raising awareness on sanitation. Oct 29, 2014

Vietnam PM receives ceremonial reception at presidential palace in New Delhi

New Delhi, Oct 28 (ANI): Vietnam Prime Minister, Nguyen Tan Dung received a ceremonial reception on Tuesday at the Presidential Palace, Rashtrapati Bhawan by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his two-day visit to India to enhance bilateral and regional ties. He was received by Modi and a retinue of Indian officials after which he inspected a ceremonial Guard of Honour. Later Dung, accompanied with his wife, Tran Tanh Kiem visited the memorial of India's iconic freedom fighter, Mahatma Gandhi in the capital, New Delhi. Massive fire breaks out at Bokaro market

Bokaro, Oct 26 (ANI): A fire broke out in a market in Bokaro on Sunday morning engulfing several shops and damaging goods at least worth three million ahead of Hindu festival of Chhath. The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained and also, no loss of life was reported. Grieving about the losses incurred, a shopkeeper, Prithvi Sav, said all the shops at Dhundibad market were fully stocked with items of worship ahead of Chhath. A fire fighter, Rakesh Tiwari, said at least a little support from the shopkeepers would have helped control fire much faster. It is being estimated that had the fire fighters not reached on time, fire would have damaged material worth more than rupees 100 million. Trivandrum, Oct 25 (ANI): Congress leader Shashi Tharoor on Saturday participated in cleanliness drive, initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in Trivandrum. Tharoor was removed as spokesperson of the party after he had backed Modi's clean India campaign. However, later on he said that he supported iconic freedom fighter, Mahatma Gandhi's vision of clean India in national interest. He said that the municipal corporation have failed and not been able to deal with the garbage problem in the country.
