Violent London robbers jailed thanks to heroic actions of 10-year-old boy

Two violent robbers who were caught thanks to the heroic actions of a 10-year-old boy, have been jailed for a spate of robberies across London. Brothers Eugene and Devlin Williams were imprisoned for a total of 14 years and eight months on 2 May. Amongst the violent incidents committed by the pair was the robbery of a woman at her home. Tania Levenfiche had just arrived home with her ten-year-old son, Didier, when the brothers grabbed her round the neck and snatched her jewellery. Didier witnessed the incident, memorising their faces and activating the house alarm. His actions led to police identifying the brothers and Didier was named Westminster polices hero of 2016. Texan hero motorists rescue babies from overturned car in flash flood

Two children were rescued from an overturned car on a Texas highway during a torrential rainstorm. The family of Philip Ocheltree reportedly flipped their car into a flooded ditch close to Myrtle Springs on 29 April. A group of passers-by then dragged the children to safety, before helping to resuscitate them. According to a Facebook post by Ocheltree, both the children are now in a stable condition. May 2, 2017

Felix, the office cat of Londons Royal Docks Management Authority, had a lucky escape when she fell into the Thames on 30 April. In a video shared to the Royal Docks Facebook page, a man named as Scott, an engineering and operations manager, is seen rushing to the cats rescue, and pulling it out of the water. Hero police officer saves retirement home resident from jumping off balcony

A Hamden police officer is being commended for saving the life of a man, after the retirement home resident tried to jump off a balcony to almost certain death on 21 April.
