New Delhi, Sept 24 (ANI): Senior finance ministry official, Arvind Mayaram said on Monday that India has no plan to offer a special window to lend funds at lower interest rates to companies in some sectors.The finance ministry and the central bank were considering a selective stimulus plan that involved a debt-buying programme for eligible companies. Mayaram said that the banks in India have not yet developed the capability of appraising projects for a long duration. New Delhi, Sep 19 (ANI): The Sensex of the Bombay Stock Exchange surged over 600 points after a stop-gap-up start and hit fresh high of 2013, as the U.S. Federal Reserve took a decision to continue with the stimulus programme to boost economic sentiment. All the sectoral indices were in the green with banks, with realty and auto stocks leading the rally on hopes of dovish stance by the Reserve Bank of India Governor Raghuram Rajan at its policy review meet. Manipur: 155 militants surrender to join mainstream

Imphal, Sep 10 (ANI): In a remarkable achievement, at least 155 rebels belonging to four different outfits in Manipur surrendered and attained a ceasefire pact with the state Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh after a prolonged negotiation. Senior government official J Suresh Babu, who serves as principal secretary (Home), said the surrender would add to peace in Manipur. The state government signed an agreement with the rebel groups on Monday and they would be given rehabilitation package.
