New Delhi, Sep 13 (ANI): NCP and Congress on Saturday supported Chief Justice of India RM Lodha's remark wherein he said that the independence of the judiciary is not negotiable. He had said that judicial independence has come to stay and no effort will succeed in taking it away. Congress leader Shashi Tharoor said that the party was always in favour of an independent judiciary, but at the same time, it should not act as an arbitrator. New Delhi, Sep 13 (ANI): Chief Justice of India RM Lodha on Saturday addressed a gathering and laid stress on the freedom of judiciary. Lodha said that no effort will succeed in taking the freedom of judiciary away. He added that once the freedom of judiciary is maintained, the country will have a strong rule of law. Lodha further threw light on the evil of corruption which takes away the trust of people from judiciary. British envoy keen for partnership in manufacturing sector with India

New Delhi, Sept 13 (ANI): British envoy to India said that there is scope for partnership in working towards developing both countries into manufacturing hubs. The British High Commissioner, James Bevan, paid a visit to Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Kalraj Mishra in New Delhi. After the meeting, Bevan said that Britain, too, attached a lot of importance to the MSME sector and added that he felt there is a lot of scope for partnership between the two countries in this sector. Mishra said that both of them had discussed about making India a manufacturing hub on the lines of 'Make in India, made in India' which Prime Minister Narendra Modi had mentioned during the Independence Day speech at the historic Red Fort on August 15. The scheme that was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Independence Day aims to cover all households in the country with banking facilities, besides providing them a range of financial benefits. People can now open their bank accounts without having to submit too many documents, by using their Aadhar card only and every account holder gets a debit card with Rs.1 lakh insurance cover. In Arunachal Pradesh, the scheme was launched by Chief Minister Nabam Tuki in presence of the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju.
