Lingaa Review: Why Rajnikanth is the Superstar?!

In Lingaa Rajinikanth shines throughout the movie and carries the entire film on his shoulders. His performance as a responsible king as well as a civil engineer is filled with his unique element of style and delivery. Apart from Rajnikanth, Anushka has done a decent job in her role as TV reporter and the other leading lady Sonakshi Sinha, impresses the audience with her expressions. Santhanam is good as always with his witty one-liners and his combination with Rajinikanth has worked wonders. But it is a dissapointment with the roles of Jagapati Babu and others, that are not executed well and performance seems average. Dec 12, 2014

It's Rajnikanth's Birthday!

Bengaluru, Dec 12 (ANI): Fans in southern India have made elaborate arrangements to celebrate 64th birthday of the Tamil superstar Rajnikanth on Friday. And, this time they have double reason to celebrate the event as it coincides with the release of his movie "Lingaa". Lingaa is a Tamil action thriller which will see Rajnikanth playing double role, and has been paired opposite Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha. Fans thronged theatres to catch the first show of Lingaa and cut cakes to celebrate the birthday of the superstar. Streets have been decked up with huge cut-outs of Rajnikanth. Fans were seen pouring milk on his cut-outs to wish for his long life. His fans in the IT hub of Bangalore took out a huge rally to commemorate the day. More than 50 cars and 200 two wheelers took part in the rally. The celebrations, which began in midnight, are expected to continue throughout the day. Mumbai, Dec 11 (ANI): Lead pair of upcoming thriller 'Tevar', Sonakshi Sinha and Arjun Kapoor was recently spotted at Radio Mirchi Studios in Mumbai. On the occasion the pair danced sang and interacted with the Radio Mirchi staff.
