Politicos react to the second CBI charge sheet in Coal Scam

New Delhi, Mar 28 (ANI): Politicos react to the second charge sheet filed by the CBI on Friday which includes Congress’ Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Darda along with some other politicians. BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi said that investigations should be carried on and actions should be taken against the accused Congress leaders. Former JD (U) leader Shivanand Tiwari said that this was an already known fact which has been confirmed by CBI through its charge sheet, while CPI leader D Raja expressed faith in the law which is taking its course in case of such scams. Political parties hit out at central govt for abstaining from Sri Lanka Resolution in UNHRC

Chennai/ New Delhi, March 28 (ANI): Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the Communist Party of India (CPI) hit out at central government after it abstained from voting on a US-sponsored resolution for probe into war crimes in Sri Lanka at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC). The resolution was adopted as 23 countries voted in its favour, 12 against it while others abstained at the 47-member-state forum in Geneva. A sessions court in Mumbai has convicted all the four accused in the Shakti Mill photojournalist gangrape case. The court has also convicted the four accused in another gangrape case of a telephone operator. The 23-year-old photojournalist was assaulted while she was on task at the abandoned factory.
