UP professor's research on global warming included in US school syllabi

Gorakhpur, Feb 13 (ANI): Vice Chancellor of a university in Gorakhpur city of Uttar Pradesh has become the first person from the country to have his work on global warming included in the school syllabus in United States. An article by Vice Chancellor of Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology, Professor Onkar Singh, has been included in a textbook titled 'Can Glacier and Ice Melt Be Reversed?' for students from class 10 to 12. This feat has got him a place in the Limca Book of Records, a catalogue of achievements made by Indians, at home and abroad, in diverse fields of human endeavour. The book covers various articles that talk about reasons causing global warming and the possible solutions to it. Speaking about global warming, Singh warns that the world would have to face dire consequences if immediate steps are not taken in this concern. Though Singh's article has made it to United States, but the Indian government is yet to take notice of his work. Feb 13, 2015
