Edinburgh, Sep 18 (ANI): Both excitement and anxiety are mounting as voting in Scotland is underway in referendum to determine whether to break away from the United Kingdom and become independent. As polls open in Scotland, most opinion polls and experts say it is a vote too tight to predict. More than 4.2 million people are registered to vote in the country of 5.3 million people, including, for the first time, 16 and 17 year olds. Britain's Prime Minister David Cameron gave the go ahead for the referendum two years ago, in what was called the "Edinburgh Agreement", when it was assumed a "No" vote was a safe bet. Sep 18, 2014

New Delhi, Sep 18 (ANI): Politicos reacted on Thursday after BJP Chief Amit Shah said that Jammu and Kashmir would have not split and Article 370 of the constitution not existed had Sardar Vallabbhai Patel handled the issue of J&K instead of Jawaharlal Nehru. BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said there was some deficiency in Nehru's governance and hence Kashmir is suffering today. NCP leaders Majid Memon said that Shah was not present at the time of independence hence he shouldn't comment on the situation. NCP leader Tariq Anwar and CPI leader D Raja said that Shah's comment lacks historical resonance.
