Youth hurls shoe at Manjhi during Janata Darbar, detained

Patna, Jan 05 (ANI): A youth hurled shoe at Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi on Monday while the leader was addressing people at the Janata Darbar in Patna. However, the shoe did not hit Manjhi. According to the reports, the youth is a resident of Chhapra region. The agitated youth repeatedly said that Manjhi's 'janata durbar' is a farce. The youth has been detained by the Patna Police and is being interrogated. The bi-annual practice of shifting the 'Darbar' (Secretariat) between the two capital cities of the state dates back to the 19th century. The government operates from Srinagar during summers and from Jammu in winters. It is estimated that the whole exercise of relocating offices costs the government crores of rupees every year.
