FIR against Ramdev for his 'honeymoon' comment on Rahul

Lucknow/ New Delhi, April 26 (ANI): An FIR has been lodged against yoga guru Ramdev by the Uttar Pradesh police, for his comment against Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi that he goes to houses of Dalits for "picnics and honeymoon". The controversial remark by Ramdev, who is supporting the BJP this elections, drew flak from various quarters. CPI leader D Raja lambasted Ramdev for insulting the Dalit community and especially the women and said that his remark refers to women as 'commodities, which are purchasable'. Meanwhile, BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has hit back at the Congress party after it demanded a public apology from Ramdev for insulting dalits. Ramdev an avid supporter of BJP's PM candidate Narendra Modi has been touring India to garner votes for BJP after the party accepted his proposal to bring back black money stashed in foreign banks. Alternative to Congress and BJP needed: CPI on Chavan's remark

ED files chargesheet in 2G money laundering case

New Delhi, April 25 (ANI): The Enforcement Directorate on Friday filed chargesheet in Delhi court against former Telecom Minister A Raja and others in the 2G scam case. The chargesheet has been filed under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. ED has also named DMK MP Kanimozhi, DMK Supremo M Karunanidhi's wife Dayalu Ammal and Swan Telecom Promoter Shahid Balwa as accused in the chargesheet. Rajiv Gandhi assassination: SC refers case to Constitution Bench, Politicos welcome move

New Delhi, April 25 (ANI): Politicos welcome the Supreme Court's decision to refer the case of release of Rajiv Gandhi's assassins to a Constitution bench. The bench will decide whether the Centre or the Tamil Nadu government had the authority to release the seven convicts in the case after remission of their jail terms, within three months. BJP leader Subramanian Swamy welcoming the decision said that the convicts can get only one relief which they have got already.
