Villagers in Kashmir seek permanent solution to end ceasefire violations

Samba, Jan 10 (ANI): Villagers living along the de'facto border dividing India'Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir appealed the central government to find a permanent solution amid continuous cross'border firing between the two nuclear armed neighbours. People are agitated with Pakistan for violating ceasefire truce time and again. While hundreds of them have left their homes with their belongings towards safer places, many others walked to the relief camps. Meanwhile, alert was sounded in Hiranagar border area after a woman sighted movement of six suspected persons at border village Spral Pian on Friday morning. Army was deployed in suspected areas and National Highway. The army was also deployed in populated areas adjoining the Ujh River connecting to International border of Pakistan. Jan 10, 2015

India face security challenges from neighbourhood, should be ready for war on both fronts: IDS Chief

New Delhi, Jan 06 (ANI): Chief of integrated Defence Staff Air Marshal PP Reddy said that India faced security challenges from its immediate neighbourhood. Air Marshal Reddy said India has to be prepared for war on both Chinese and Pakistani fronts. He said India needed to be prepared for complete spectrum of conflicts like militant attacks, sub-conventional conflict, intense conventional war and nuclear war. Reddy also blamed China for assisting other countries against India. Meanwhile, security expert Qamar Agha said India should mobilise international community as the Chinese were trying to establish their supremacy in the Indian Ocean, which is a matter of concern for the whole world.
