Philippines president Rodrigo Duterte has compared himself to Hitler, claiming he would be happy to slaughter thee million drug addicts to save the next generation from perdition. In his three-month reign, more than 3,000 people have been killed and critics have been pointing out his disregard for human rights. Charlotte police releases video footage of Keith Lamont Scott shooting

Charlotte police released two videos of the fatal shooting of a 43-year-old black man, whose death on 20 September led to riots and protests in North Carolina. The footage was recorded by a police body camera and a vehicle dashcam.The Charlotte police department had previously refused to release the footage until the investigation into the incident was complete. Italy: Protesters rally against governments Fertility Day campaign

People have rallied against the governments new Fertility Day campaign which encourages people to have children while they can. The campaign has been called both racist and sexist and people are saying that the government should focus on economic struggles and the children that people already have. The campaign has also been accused of being racist after another poster depicted two white couples next to the caption: proper lifestyle for the prevention of sterility and infertility contrasted against a hooded multi-ethnic group smoking on the street captioned: the bad companions to leave behind. Prince William makes personal plea to save elephants and rhinos from distinction

The Duke of Cambridge has made a passionate appeal for countries to do more to tackle the ivory trade and protected elephants in danger of extinction. Prince William, speaking at Tusks Time For Change event in the London Shard, said that elephants and rhinos could disappear within a generation if more is not done to tackle the illegal ivory trade, thought to be worth an estimated £15bn. Eggheads star CJ de Mooi arrested on suspicion of murder

CJ de Mooi, known for being a panellist on BBC2 show Eggheads was arrested at Heathrow airport and is being held on suspicion of an alleged murder in Amsterdam 20 years ago.
