PM Narendra Modi meets Chinese President ahead of BRICS summit

Brazil, July 15 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday met Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of BRICS summit in Fortaleza, Brazil and discussed various issues including border and trade. Berlin, July 14 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday left for Brazil to attend the five nations BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) summit after a brief halt in Berlin. The Summit's theme is, "Inclusive Growth; Sustainable Development", and is expected to enable shaping up of the post-2015 Development Agenda being discussed in the United Nations. The Prime Minister said in a statement that India attaches high importance to the BRICS forum for promoting global economic growth, peace and stability.
