Wagah Border, Nov 4 (ANI): India and Pakistan on Tuesday resumed daily flag-lowering ceremony on the main land border crossing, a day after it was suspended as mark of respect for those killed in a suicide bomb attack on the Pakistan side near the border. At least 57 people were killed and 110 wounded when an explosion ripped through a car park about 500 metres (yards) from Pakistan's border gate just as hundreds of people were leaving after the daily performance on Sunday. In this backdrop, Ministry of Home Affairs had said the daily flag-lowering ceremony would be suspended as a mark of respect for the dead. Sopore, Nov 04 (ANI): Suspected militants hurled grenades at the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp at Sopore in Baramulla Distric of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. Witnesses said people ran for cover after the explosive was hurled. However, one rifle grenade did not explode and the other missed the target. The rifle was later on defused by the Bomb Disposal Squad. Shopian, Oct 31 (ANI): Security forces recovered Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Shopian district of India’s northern state of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday (October 31), weeks ahead of the assembly elections in the state. The IED, weighing about four kilograms, was hidden inside a small gas cylinder. Indian army official, Major Vishal Kumar, said it was apparently planted to target security forces passing through the area. The traffic on the road was stopped briefly till the cylinder was recovered and taken to a safe place. Nachika Linga, the chief of a Maoist-backed organisation, remained underground for over four years evading a non-bailable warrant against him.
