FM-Banks Meet: Uday Kotak stresses on mutual fund rather than gold and property investment

New Delhi, June 10 (ANI): Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of a leading private bank, Kotak Mahindra, Uday Kotak said on Tuesday that there needs to be a significant boost for India s financial savers and it is important to move people away from property and gold investments to mutual funds. Banking Secretary GS Sandhu said the government is examining all suggestions put forth by the banking institution heads. Chairman and Managing Director of Central Bank of India, Rajeev Rishi, said the discussions were mostly on funding for bank infrastructures and capitalisation and infrared ink issue was discussed in detail. India's eastern state of Bihar has also been a witness to the extremist issue for a long time.
