New Delhi, May 30 (ANI): On the plea filed by Swan Telecom promoter Shahid Usman Balwa, seeking permission to withdraw answers given by him earlier to court in the 2G spectrum case trial, lawyer Vijay Agarwal appearing on behalf of Balwa said, "Whatever the questions the court did not approve off will be deemed to be deleted and for the balance cost will be recorded. Delhi court to decide on bail petitions of telecom scam accused on May 30

New Delhi, May 28 (ANI): A Delhi court said on Wednesday that it would decide on the bail petitions of the accused allegedly involved in money laundering in 2G-scam case on May 30. The court granted two days extension to all the accused to scrutinize the documents related to chargesheet filed by Enforcement Directorate (ED). Former Telecom Minister A Raja, lawmaker of DMK Kanimozhi and seven other accused moved bail applications before a Delhi court on Monday. Lawyer of Vinod Goenka, one of the accused in the telecom scam, Majid Memon, said the accused sought more time to go through the documents related to chargesheet. May 28, 2014

1st Cabinet Meet of new govt decides to form SIT on Black Money

New Delhi, May 27 (ANI): The new government in its first Cabinet Meeting headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi decided to form an SIT to hold investigation over black money. Telecom and Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Tuesday briefed about the first decision which was raised often by the BJP during its campaign. Prasad said that the SIT will be headed by former judge of Supreme Court Justice MB Shah as the Chairman.
