India says banning JuD, Haqqani network under US pressure does not show Pak's commitment against t

New Delhi, Jan 22 (ANI): India on Thursday said that banning Jamaat-ud-Dawa and Haqqani network under the pressure of the United States does not show Pakistan's commitment against terrorism in any way. Security Expert Alok Bansal said that it is welcome step but only if Pakistan keeps banning other such outfits which emerge in the nation. BJP Spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said that this does not show that Pakistan is committed to work against terrorism. Earlier in a paradigm shift in its policy against terrorism, Pakistan has included Jamaat-ud-Dawa (Jud) led by the 2008 Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed and the dreaded Haqqani network in the list of proscribed organisations after the US mounted pressure on the country. Sachin Tendulkar flags off run in Kerala ahead of National Games

Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 20 (ANI): Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar participated in mass 'Run Kerala Run', which was held as a prelude to the 35th National Games, in Thiruvananthapuram city on Tuesday (January 20). Tendulkar, who is also the brand ambassador of the Games, thronged god's own country to flag off the event. Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Governor P Sathasivam were also present. The race, endorsed by all political parties and social organisations, besides schools and colleges, would give a final push to the games preparations, creating excitement among the people to become part of the event being hosted by the state after 1987.
