New Delhi, June 11 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his first Lok Sabha speech on Wednesday stressed upon the promotion of north-eastern states, especially Sikkim, in terms of organic productivity. Modi stated that north-east can play an important role in world organic market by manufacturing organic products. He also added that just like soil health cards are given to farmers in Gujarat, they can be given to farmers all over the nation so that they know their soil well and do not make any extra expenses. Koraput, June 09 (ANI): Twelve rebels of a hardcore Maoist organisation, Communist Party of India (Maoist), surrendered before police in Koraput district of Odisha. The police said their case was being recommended for rehabilitation under the surrender policy of Odisha government. All the surrendered Maoists hailed from Narayanpatna area, which has been a Maoist stronghold. Police, meanwhile, have appealed all Maoists and their associates to shun violence or face stern action in the coming days.
