UN expects EU’s refugee flow to top 1m in 2015

Refugees and migrants are likely to keep coming to Europe at a rate of up to 5,000 per day via Turkey this winter, the United Nations said on Thursday (5 November), meaning that more than a million people will have fled to the continent this year. Drone footage captures Syrian refugees on their journey to Greece

A drone mounted camera captured dozens of refugees taking the treacherous journey from Turkeys coastal town of Cesme to set sail to the Greek Island of Chios on inflatable dinghies.
