LOS ANGELES The 2014 American Music Awards hit L.A. with some stars not going home empty handed. One Direction was the big winner of the night taking home three statuettes including Artist of the Year. Other winners included Taylor Swift receiving the Dick Clark Award for Excellence, Sam Smith, Brantley Gilbert, 5 Seconds of Summer and Imagine Dragons. Hosted by Pitbull, here are some of the stars out for the big night.
