Yashodhara Raje Scindia underscores skill development for youth at Global Investors Summit

Indore, Oct 09 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Commerce and Industry Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia said at the Global Investors Summit that she will take steps for skill development of the youths and unemployed of the state so that they become self reliant. During a news conference at the Global Investors Summit, the minister said the regional government will ensure skill availability within the state. She said she will also urge corporate houses to adopt industrial training institutes so that they can directly hire talent from there. Three-day long Global Investors Summit kick starts in Indore

Indore, Oct 08 (ANI): Barely weeks after Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched his 'Make in India' initiative, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, inaugurated a three-day Global Investors Summit on Wednesday, inviting business leaders from across the world to invest in the state. More than 4,000 delegates from across the world are expected to attend the summit in Indore. The summit will also be host to 190 guests of honour and 28 state guests including ambassadors and country representatives. Addressing the gathering, Chouhan said through the summit he wants Madhya Pradesh to make an international mark.Day one was dedicated to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in the state. Chouhan also declared that the state would establish a ministry exclusively for small enterprises. A venture fund will also be established to give financial help to innovators to set up businesses. Dharamsala, Oct 4 (ANI): American Nobel Peace Laureate, Jody Williams has said that India should be congratulated for the support it has extended to Tibet over the years. Williams, who along with another Peace Laureate, Shirin Ebadi, was in Dharamsala after boycotting the World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates scheduled in South Africa. They arrived at Dharamsala for the 25th anniversary of conferment of the Nobel Peace Prize on the 14th Dalai Lama on Thursday (October 02). Dharamsala, Oct 01 (ANI): The World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates was called-off after the laureates protested against South Africa's refusal to grant Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, visa for the event. Nobel Peace laureates, Jody Williams and Shirin Ebadi, who had boycotted the summit arrived in Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday for 25th anniversary of conferment of the Nobel Peace Prize on the 14th Dalai Lama on October 2. Addressing a news briefing in Dharamsala, which is home to exiled Tibetans, Williams said the Nobel peace conference in Cape Town was cancelled. The event was scheduled to take place between October 13 and October 15.
