Meat of missing persons served in Quetta: EP Today Report

Geneva, Oct 06: Incidents of enforced disappearances of thousands of innocent civilians and activists in Pakistan's Baluchistan province have shook one and all for years now. Amid all these intense situations, comes news of human meat being served in Quetta city. A report by EP Today, a monthly newspaper published by the European Parliament, reveals human meat being served in many small restaurants and to the army stationed in Quetta. The report named Asghar Hassan, who has received human bodies at intervals from some unidentified people. Along with the bodies, he received an amount of 100,000 Pakistani Rupees to get the job done. The supply of human flesh is occurring in a region where cases of missing persons have been left unanswered for ages. Wives of suspected militants in Burdwan blast case arrested for enquiry

Burdwan/ New Delhi, Oct 05 (ANI): Two women were arrested and remanded to police custody for two weeks in connection with the explosion at Khagragarh area of Burdwan that left two suspected militants dead. Rajira Bibi is the widow of suspected militant Shakil Ahmed, who was killed in the explosion in a house at Khagragarh on October 2, while Amina Bibi is the wife of Hasan Saheb, who was critically injured in the blast and is under treatment at Burdwan Medical College and Hospital. The two suspected militants were killed and another was injured when an explosion occurred in a house inhabited by them on Thursday. According to police officials, large number of watch dials, SIM cards, and other tools required to make improvised explosive devices were found in the house. Owner of the two-storey house, Hasan Chowdhury, who lives in another house across the road, said he had given the first floor to Shakil Ahmed, the deceased, on a monthly rent of Rs 4,700 but he did not know the identity of the two others.
