PM Modi's popularity in social media reflects India's significance: Cyber Expert

New Delhi, Nov 20 (ANI): Cyber expert Pawan Duggal on Thursday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rising popularity in social media reflects India's significance under the Modi's leadership, and added it is a salutation to his eccentric understanding of the social media and internet. Duggal said Prime Minister Modi is having the second largest number of followers after US President Barack Obama. Giving credit for such acceptance by social media to Modi, Duggal said that it is the prime minister's way of giving the message in such crystal clear simple words that he is becoming extremely popular. Talking about the Digital India programme that was launched earlier in July to bridge the divide between digital 'haves' and 'have-nots', Duggal said that this programme is going to irreversibly change India and transform India into a knowledge economy. It Happens: Traditional dance of archery attracts visitors in India

Shimla, Nov 7(ANI): Villagers in India's northern Himachal Pradesh state organised a fair to promote traditional dance of archery, 'Thoda', on Wednesday. The fair, which was held at Raggyan village, over 20 kilometres from Shimla city, aimed at preserving the traditional art. Many young archers were seen performing the art during the fair and urged more and more youth to preserve this heritage. On the beats of traditional drums, people aim at each other with bow and arrow on legs. One of the organisers, Pawan Thakur, said that young generation should now come forward and develop such ancient art. This fair is a blend of religious belief and love for century-old 'Thoda' sport. Locals believe that organising such kind of fairs is a symbol of prosperity. Nov 7, 2014
