TMC protest against Madan Mitra's arrest in Saradha chit fund scam case

New Delhi, Dec 15 (ANI): Leaders of Trinamool Congress (TMC) party on Monday protested against the arrest of state minister in connection with Saradha chit fund scam, shouting slogans against the Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested transport minister of West Bengal Madan Mitra, on Friday for his role in the scam. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has refuted allegations against her minister and has alleged political vendetta by the BJP. TMC leader Kalyan Banerjee said CBI was working on the orders of the BJP. Meanwhile, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that everyone in West Bengal is aware of TMC's fraud and the arrest of their leaders have come as berserker for the party, hence it is using the protest tool to protect them, which is not going to help in anyway. Experts say arrest of ISIS twitter handler a wake-up call

New Delhi/ Allahabad, Dec 13 (ANI): Experts on Saturday (December 13) said the arrest of a man operating a pro-Islamic State Twitter account was a wake-up call and called upon investigation agencies to work along with neighbouring countries to fight militancy. Security Experts Praful Bakshi and Qamar Agha said that it is the failure of investigating agencies and a wake up call for authorities. Talking about the incident, cyber expert, Pawan Duggal, said that cyber terrorism was emerging as the biggest challenge. Mehdi Masroor Biswas's arrest at home came days after Britain's Channel Four identified him as the man behind "Shami Witness", the Twitter handle followed by thousands of people including most foreign fighters for the Islamic State. New Delhi, Dec 10 (ANI): Political leaders on Wednesday slammed TMC leader Kalyan Banerjee for his 'unparliamentary remarks' for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shashtri. The political parties are up in arms against the use of derogatory language for any leader. The Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday threatened to bring censure resolution against Banerjee if he does not apologise for objectionable remarks. Banerjee while addressing a public gathering in West Bengal had attacked BJP leader Siddharth Nath Singh, grandson of Shastri, and used offensive language.
