Roadshow promotes tourism between India, Bangladesh

Agartala, Nov 16 (ANI): A four-day road show, 'Maitri Tourism 2014', kicked off in Agartala to promote tourism between India and Bangladesh. The event is being organised by Bangladesh Foundation for Tourism Development and Bangladesh Inbound Tour Operators Association in collaboration with Tripura Tourism Development Forum and Tripura Tourism Development Corporation. A seminar took place to discuss the sub-regional tourism circuit linking India's northeast, Bangladesh and Myanmar, and the land routes linking the capital cities of Dhaka and Agartala. A Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) Secretary Subhas Das said tourism is among the most flourishing sectors in the world and plays a significant role in generating employment. Gadkari launches ETC system for Delhi-Mumbai Highway

New Delhi, Oct 31 (ANI): Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari on Friday launched the Electronic Toll Collection system for the Delhi-Mumbai Highway. The Electronic Toll Collection systems have already been installed at 55 toll plaza. Their integration with Central Clearing House (CCH) operators has almost been completed on the Delhi-Mumbai route via Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra. Charges framed against 10 individuals and 9 companies for money laundering in 2G case

New Delhi, Oct 31 (ANI): A special court on Friday framed charges against former Telecom Minister A Raja, MP Kanimozhi, DMK Supremo M Karunanidhi's wife Dayalu Ammal and others for money laundering in a 2G scam-related case. All accused have pleaded not guilty. ED had chargesheeted 19 accused - 10 individuals and nine companies - in the case saying that the transaction of Rs 200 crore, which was allegedly paid to DMK-run Kalaignar TV, was "not genuine" and it was a "bribe for grant of telecom licences to DB Group companies". The accused had countered the claims of the ED contending there was no evidence to support the allegations levelled by the agency in its charge sheet. Oct 31, 2014
