Moong Dal payasam Ingredients Moong Dal - 100 gm Jaggery - 100 gm Condensed Milk - 1 cup Fresh grated Coconut - 1 cup Ghee - 1 tsp A few Cardamom pods Method: 1. Slightly roast the Moong dal for about 2 minutes. 2. Now rinse the moong dal, add water and let it boil. 3. Another side, melt jaggery but adding some water to it, 4. After the moong dal is cooked, add melted jaggery, cardamon powder, ghee, Condensed Milk & mix it. 5. Finally add fresh grated coconut in it. 6. Your Moong Dal payasam is all ready to be served. Garnish it with few strands of Saffron. You can either serve it hot or cold. Indian Muslims prepare traditional vermicelli ahead of Eid festival

Khuldabad, July 22 (ANI): Traditional vermicelli makers worked extra hours in Maharashtra to meet demands of Muslims as Eid-al- Fitr is nearing, which marks the end of holy month of Ramadan. Muslims in India prepare special delicacies made of Vermicelli to serve guests on Eid. In old city of Khuldabad, women workers indulged in making traditional handmade vermicelli. A worker, Kaisaruddin, said Vermicelli making is one of the oldest and traditional works of Khuldabad, which is mainly practiced by women. Sweet vermicelli is a traditional Muslim dish which is eaten during the month of Ramadan. Ramadan is the ninth of 12 months in the Islamic calendar. Ramadan lasts for 29 or 30 days and culminates in the Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations, tens of millions across the Muslim world make every effort to be more spiritual. Jul 22, 2014

Galouti Kebab Ingredients Minced Meat (Lamb) - 150 gm Chilli powder - 1 tsp Ginger & garlic paste - 1/4 tsp Raw papaya paste - 1 tsp Roasted Garlic puree - 1/2 tsp Cashew nut paste - 1/2 tsp Brown Onion paste - 1 tsp Salt to taste Galouti masala - 1 tsp Black Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp Kewra water - 1/2 tsp Rose water - 1/2 tsp A few strands of Saffron Gram flour - 2 tbsp Ghee - 1 tbsp Sweet Essence - 2 drop Ghee - 2 tbsp Method: 1. Mix all the ingredients very well with the minced meat. 2. Place a piece of aluminium foil in middle of the mixture, Prepare to smoke the lamb mixture with clove, bay leaf and cover it for 30 minutes. 3. Now make small patties and pan fry them. Vermicelli business in markets hit adversely due to price rise

Gorakhpur, July 12 (ANI): Demand for vermicelli, which spikes during the holy month of Ramadan, is hit due to inflation as prices of wheat flour, required for preparing vermicelli, are sky-high in the markets. Vermicelli shops in Gorakhpur are running in losses, as the sales have dropped considerably due to spiralling inflation. Shopkeepers said they were incurring losses as people were not buying more than 1-2 kilograms compared to the earlier sales that usually were over 5-6 kilograms per customer a day.
