World leaders congratulate Donald Trump on US presidency win

Leaders from around the world have congratulated Republican Donald Trump on becoming the president-elect for the United States of America, after he beat Hillary Clinton on 9 November. Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke of hoping to work on the US-Russia relationship that has been especially strained of late, whilst European leaders Angela Merkel, Francios Hollande and Theresa May hoped to continue their strong relationships with America. British banker Rurik Jutting given life sentence for grisly murders of two Indonesian women

Rurik Juttings defence argued that his cocaine and alcohol disorders, as well as personality disorders of sexual sadism and narcissism, had impaired his ability to control his behaviour.The prosecution rejected this, stating Jutting was able to form judgements and exercise self-control before and after the killings, filming his torture of Sumarti Ningsih on his iPhone as well as hours of footage in which he discussed the murders.The case gripped world media due to graphic video footage seen by the jury and the brutality of the killings. Criminal mastermind behind Oceans 11 jailbreak captured in Spain disguised as devil

One of France’s most wanted criminals was arrested in Spain. Police caught hitman Hamid Hakkar at a Halloween party - dressed as the devil.The 47-year-old was on the run after failing to return to prison for the murder of a drugs dealer after day release in 2013.He is wanted in France for murder, drug trafficking and money laundering.He hit the headlines for helping in the Paris jail escape of a bank robber in 2003.
