Sadhvi row: Govt says Opposition short of issues, Congress continues to demand resignation

New Delhi, Dec 04 (ANI): After Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a statement in the Rajya Sabha about Union Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti_s use of obnoxious language during an election rally. Union Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that after continuous demand by the opposition for PM_s remark over the issue, PM Modi made a statement and said such language is condemnable. He said that even when the PM made his statement, the Opposition especially Congress is still raising the issue out of desperation. Meanwhile, Congress leader Ashwani Kumar said that the Opposition had made 2 demands out of which one was fulfilled but demand for Sadhvi_s resignation still holds. Dec 4, 2014

The advisory comes after four Kalyan youths, all single and under 30, used the pilgrimage route to travel to Iraq in May and joined the jihadist outfit ISIS there. Politicos reacted on the issue. Roadshow promotes tourism between India, Bangladesh

Agartala, Nov 16 (ANI): A four-day road show, 'Maitri Tourism 2014', kicked off in Agartala to promote tourism between India and Bangladesh. The event is being organised by Bangladesh Foundation for Tourism Development and Bangladesh Inbound Tour Operators Association in collaboration with Tripura Tourism Development Forum and Tripura Tourism Development Corporation. A seminar took place to discuss the sub-regional tourism circuit linking India's northeast, Bangladesh and Myanmar, and the land routes linking the capital cities of Dhaka and Agartala. A Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) Secretary Subhas Das said tourism is among the most flourishing sectors in the world and plays a significant role in generating employment.
